HedgeOp’s ComplianceEvaluator service, geared towards established managers, consists of a detailed compliance infrastructure review. The project team will perform a critical review of your internal compliance policies, procedures and existing business practices and provide feedback on our findings along with practical recommendations. Part of our feedback will include suggestions on how to simplify and streamline your procedures.

For SEC-registered and unregistered managers

This review can be done for SEC-registered managers as it relates to their obligations under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other applicable regulations. This can also be a helpful review for hedge fund managers that are not registered with the SEC but want to see how their infrastructure measures up against SEC requirements and best practices.

The scope of a ComplianceEvaluator project will be determined in collaboration with each client, but may include:

  • Modify procedures where there may be deficiencies
  • Revise, modify and/or expand your written compliance procedures if needed
  • Develop a complete written checklist of audit prep requirements
  • Develop a detailed compliance calendar

In this case, our team will help you build out your compliance infrastructure by completing all of the services involved in our ComplianceEvaulator projects (described above), as well as developing your written compliance procedures.
